Hello, my name is Marc. You don´t need to know how old I am, except to know that I have a lot of very valuable experience as an English teacher. I spent 25 years in the UK Civil Service where I discovered I had a love for teaching English. I, myself, have learnt French and German to fluency level and thought I could help my colleagues in the Civil Service with these languages at their lower levels. My colleagues did, in fact, keep asking me questions about the English language, before adapting it into French and German!
I left the Civil Service in April 2009 looking to change my career to that of an English teacher. I was lucky enough to spend 6 months in Southern China in 2010, teaching English at Kindergarten level. In my free time, I was even luckier to be given the opportunity to teach older children and adults. From this I got a greater response from my students, maintained my dwindling sanity levels and didn´t get milk poured over me by over exited three year olds. Most importantly, though, I got the teaching bug! Upon my return I immediately did the TEFL course and became a qualified English teacher. I have had random teaching jobs, in the UK, teaching Dutch students, Italian students and a lovely lady from Bengal. My desire, though, was to teach English to people in their own country. Then came the opportunity to work at Number 16 in Zaragoza and here I am, teaching English in a Mediterranean climate and getting paid for it! WIN, WIN, WIN!!!Hello, my name is Marc.
